adm Group announce Worldwide Cancer Research as global charity partner for 2018
Leading global marketing services business, adm Group, has confirmed its chosen charity partner for 2018 is Worldwide Cancer Research, a charity which funds unique and ground-breaking research projects into any type of cancer, anywhere in the world. Having previously selected local charity partners, this is adm’s first at a global level providing an opportunity to make a difference on a larger scale.
Justin Barton, Chief Executive at adm Group commented: “After opening voting to all adm employees, cancer research stood out as a cause that employees are passionate about supporting and we are delighted that Worldwide Cancer Research is our charity partner this year. There have already been some great ideas to raise both funds and awareness for the charity and as a business we have committed to matching the amount raised by employees throughout the year.”
Adm Group has set a target of raising £10,000 for Worldwide Cancer Research and has already reached over £700 through initial activities with more planned in the coming months.
Dr Helen Rippon, Chief Executive at Worldwide Cancer Research, said: “We are thrilled to begin our partnership with adm and look forward to everything it will bring to both our organisations. It’s clear that the values of adm and Worldwide Cancer Research are fully aligned; global collaboration does improve lives, and only by supporting the best research ideas can we get closer to the answers to cancer.
“Thank you to all the staff involved for already raising money for the charity. At such an early stage in the partnership, this is an astounding amount and we are so grateful to adm for demonstrating such passion and dedication. Without this generous support, vital cancer research would not happen and we continue to be indebted to everyone involved for helping to turn things around for those facing a cancer diagnosis and for their families, now and in the future.”
Worldwide Cancer Research funds unique and ground-breaking research projects into any type of cancer, anywhere in the world. The reason? To gain global perspective. Research does not happen in isolation – the answers will not come from one scientist, in one lab, in one country.
