By earning a coveted spot at the London Marathon, all of our chosen runners join our amazing Curestarter team and help us raise more money to start new cancer cures around the world.
Not only will you be raising much-needed funds to start cures, you will also be part of one of the world's most iconic marathons, zooming past famous London landmarks while thousands cheer you on.
Places have now closed for the London Marathon 2023. However, applications for the London Marathon 2024 will open in April. If you would like to register your interest in applying for a coveted charity place, please complete our 2024 enquiry form.
Why run with Worldwide Cancer Research and our Curestarter team?
By 2030 cancer is predicted to become the leading cause of death worldwide. We urgently need to start new cancer cures - but we can't do it alone.
Taking part in an event can not only be really rewarding for you, it's also a great way to raise the vital funds we need to support ground-breaking cancer research. We only fund the brightest new ideas in research and each project could be the start of a new cancer cure of the future that will help us put an end to cancer.

- Unlimited support and advice from our events team to help you meet your fundraising target
- Access to an online network of fellow runners to provide support and advice
- A running vest or technical t-shirt
- Support from Worldwide Cancer Research staff cheering you on to the finish line
- A post-race runners' reception
