Philanthropy and major donations

Currently, we have to turn down around half of the funding applications for potential new cancer cures that we receive each year. Significant donations could allow us to back more world-class scientists and accelerate lifesaving breakthroughs.

We need visionaries like you to join forces with us.

Survival rates have doubled since Worldwide Cancer Research was founded in 1979, but there is more work to be done until we can reach a day when no life is cut short by cancer. Help us fund more cutting-edge discovery research, right now.

A note from our Philanthropy Manager, Euan MacNeish:

It's likely you are aware that 1 in 2 people in the UK will now be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, but did you know cancer deaths are expected to almost double by 2050? We believe this is a future we can change together, but not without starting more new cures than ever before.

Every new test or treatment for cancer is reliant on discovery research, but global funding has been declining in recent years and we have been left with a significant gap between the bold ideas we want to fund and those we are able to.

Philanthropic support can help close that gap and change the course of cancer research.

I'd love to have a conversation with you about your philanthropic interests and ways you might like to stay close to the impact of your contribution - receiving exclusive updates on projects for example, or invitations to events, and opportunities to visit our labs. You can reach me via email at [email protected]

Donating your money is one of the best investments you could ever make, as it will push human knowledge and science forward towards the unknown and the unexpected. Today, you may be opening a door towards the scientific revolution of the next decade.
