Our grant system
Cancer is one of the leading health issues facing the world
Having a worldwide focus on cancer research helps speed up the progress we can make towards tackling this devastating group of diseases.
That is why we fund discovery research that focuses on any cancer type and from anywhere in the world. In fact, we have invested in almost 2,000 projects worldwide since our foundation in 1979.

We need to work together to advance research quickly and support the best ideas.
We are pleased to partner with a number of other cancer research funders for this grant round.
This will enable more cutting-edge ideas with potential for impact to be explored. These additional opportunities for funding are available depending on the cancer type the project focuses on or the country in which the applicant resides.

Our Research Strategy
Our mission is to kick-start the life-saving advances of the future. Click here to learn how our strategic aims and funding criteria will help us achieve this.
Further opportunities for co-funding may become available at a later date.
Please note, we still welcome applications for projects on any cancer type and from any country. These will not have a reduced chance of success as a consequence of the partnerships. Importantly, working with these partners will allow us to fund additional projects.
No additional action is needed by an applicant for a project that may be eligible for co-funding; please complete an application as normal. Any successful applicants eligible for co-funding through these partnerships will be contacted by our Research Funding Team.
