Our 2024 Grant Round

How we're working with other organisations to support the best new ideas for cancer cures

We are pleased to announce that our 2024 grant round is in partnership in partnership with the Asociación española contra el cáncer, Cancer Australia, Foundation ARC, Irish Cancer Society, The Brain Tumour Charity and the Cancer Research Society.

Our grant system

At Worldwide Cancer Research, we focus on supporting discovery cancer research projects that have the potential to uncover something new about cancer. We are looking for novel, exciting, and creative ideas that could lead to new ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.

Cancer is one of the leading health issues facing the world, and having a worldwide focus on cancer research helps speed up the progress we can make towards tackling this devastating group of diseases. That is why we fund discovery research that focuses on any cancer type and from anywhere in the world. In fact, we have invested in 2,000 projects worldwide since our foundation in 1979.

We need to work together to advance research quickly and support the best ideas, so we are pleased to announce that we are partnering with a number of other cancer research funders for this grant round. This will enable more cutting-edge ideas with potential for impact to be explored.

We are excited to be partnering with:

No additional action is needed by an applicant for a project that may be eligible for co-funding; please complete an application as normal. Any successful applicants eligible for co-funding through these partnerships will be contacted by our Research Funding Team.
